This policy explains how curesahealth.com uses cookies and similar technologies, which ones we set, and how you can control them. It supplements our Privacy Policy, which describes the personal information we collect and the rights California residents have under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device so it can recognize your browser on a later visit. Similar technologies — including browser local storage and pixels — do much the same job. We use the word “cookies” below to cover all of them.

Cookies set by curesahealth.com are called first-party cookies. Cookies set by a service we use to run the site, such as our analytics providers, are called third-party cookies.

Cookies we use

Strictly necessary

These keep the website working and cannot be switched off through our site. They do not track you across other websites.

  • wordpress_test_cookie — checks whether your browser accepts cookies. Expires when you close your browser.
  • wordpress_logged_in_*, wp-settings-* — set only for people who log in to administer the site. Ordinary visitors never receive these.

Analytics and performance

These help us understand which pages people read, how visitors arrive, and where the site is confusing, so we can improve it. The information is used in aggregate to measure site traffic.

  • _ga, _ga_5YMLPGDNN5 — set by Google Analytics 4 to distinguish one browser from another and to keep track of a visit. Expire after about 2 years.
  • ph_phc_*_posthog — set by PostHog, a product analytics tool, to recognize a returning browser and group page views into a single visit. Expires after about 12 months.

We have session replay disabled in PostHog. We do not record your screen, your mouse movements, or what you type.

Forms

Our contact and consultation forms are built with WPForms. If you begin filling in a form, your browser may store the entries so you do not lose them, and we may record basic technical details submitted with the form to detect spam.

What we do not do

  • We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies. There is no Meta pixel, no Google Ads remarketing tag, and no advertising network on this site.
  • We do not sell or share your personal information, as those terms are defined by the CCPA.
  • We do not use cookies to collect health or care-need information. We learn about a care situation only when you choose to describe it to us by form, email, or phone.

Your consent choices

If you are visiting from Europe or the United Kingdom, we ask you to choose before any analytics cookie is set. Until you accept, Google Analytics and PostHog are held in a denied state and store nothing on your device. You can change your mind at any time by selecting Cookie Preferences, which reopens the choice.

Curesa Health provides care in person in Santa Cruz County, California, and does not offer services in Europe, so visitors elsewhere are not shown this prompt. Wherever you are, you can control or remove cookies at any time using the browser and opt-out tools described below, and we honor the Global Privacy Control signal.

How to control cookies

Your browser. Every major browser lets you see the cookies a site has set, delete them, and block future ones. Look under Settings for Privacy, Cookies, or Site Data. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site from working.

Google Analytics. You can opt out of Google Analytics across all websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Global Privacy Control. Some browsers and extensions send a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, which California treats as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing for the signal to stop, but we honor it as an opt-out request regardless.

Do Not Track. There is still no agreed industry standard for how websites should respond to Do Not Track browser signals, so our site does not currently respond to them.

Changes to this policy

If we add or remove a tool that sets cookies, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Please check back from time to time.
